Day 8 - No. 2 - Burchart Gardens

Burchart Gardens is Victoria's most famous tourist attraction. (We were here many years ago!) Its 25 acres of manicured lawns and gardens in a former Limestone quarry. Flowers of every kind which change with the seasons. Today was dominated by many colors of mums. The climate here is very moderate, so there are things blooming all year. We started with a light lunch in their dining room - turkey chili - awesome!

Lots of Asian tourists in the gardens. They are annoying! They are loud, aggressive and always taking pictures!  They never take a picture without a person in it, usually with some kind of odd pose.

It took us about 2 hours to hike all around the gardens. Its gorgeous!

  1. Loved these pictures. Hate to admit this, but in the 10 years we were in Port Townsend, we never got to Butchart Gardens! They have a deal where you can get a pass for all 4 seasons because of course the gardens are different, depending on the time of year.
